Nikolay D. Boykov completed his M.S. in geophysics at the University of Texas at El Paso after obtaining his M.S. in mining engineering at West Virginia University and a B.S. in mining engineering at St. Ivan Rilski University in Bulgaria. He has taught at El Paso Community College and is currently working as an environmental geophysicist in the Washington, DC area.
Diane I. Doser is a professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso. She obtained her B.S. in applied geophysics from Michigan Technological University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in geophysics at the University of Utah. Her research interests include shallow subsurface geophysics applied to engineering and environmental problems and earthquake hazard studies. She currently serves as the editor-in-chief of the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America.
