Hollis H. (Jay) Bennett, Jr. received B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas and a M.S. degrees in computer science from Mississippi State University. His career includes 2 years with the Korea Baptist Mission, 2 years with the defense contractor Merit Technology, Inc., 1 yr of consultant work for defense contractors, and 23 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the state of Arkansas. Major areas of experience include remote minefield detection, unexploded ordnance detection, internet information services, digital image processing, spectral pattern matching, embedded computer systems, differential global positioning systems, and computer/network operating systems. Professional society membership is with SAME.
Sean M. Buckley received the B.S. degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, Urbana, in 1992 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in aerospace engineering from The University of Texas, Austin, in 1994 and 2000, respectively. From 2000 to 2004, he was a Research Engineer/Science Associate with the Center for Space Research, The University of Texas at Austin, where he was also an Assistant Professor with the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics from 2004 to 2010. He is currently with the Radar Science and Engineering Section, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA. His research interests are in satellite and aircraft remote sensing including radar interferometry algorithm development and deformation studies.
