Tolga Bekler received a B.S. in geophysics from Istanbul Technical University in 1992 and a M.S. and Ph.D. in geophysics from Boğaziçi University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, Turkey in 1996 and 2002. He worked as a research assistant and geophysical engineer in department of geophysics at Kandilli Observatory and E/Q Research Institute (KOERI) from 1996–2005. Since then he has been working at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Geophysical Engineering and presently as an assistant professor doctor. His primary research interest includes the study of active source seismology, seismic refraction and crustal modeling.
Laurens Beran received M.Sc. (2005) and Ph.D. (2010) degrees in geophysics from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is currently a geophysicist with Sky Research Inc., and a post-doctoral fellow at UBC. His research focuses on processing of geophysical data for the detection and discrimination of unexploded ordnance.
Stephen Billings received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, in 1998. He is the Vice President of Research and Development at Sky Research Inc. and an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences, University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver.
