Joselito (Lito) M. Arocena is a soil scientist with a Ph.D. (1991) from the University of Alberta (Canada). Lito has published in areas of soil genesis/mineralogy/chemistry/biology and their applications and/or relevance to soil classification, nutrient cycling in forestry and agriculture, ecology, environmental remediation, geomorphology and archaeology. He has held appointments as a 9-month guest professor (2000) at the Technical University of Munich (Germany) and a one-year visiting professor (2007–2008) at the Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena (Spain). Lito is a professor (1994 – present) at the Environmental Science and Engineering program and currently holds the Canada Research Chair in Soil and Environmental Sciences at the University Northern British Columbia in Prince George, BC Canada.
Enrique Aracil Ávila received his M.Sc. (1986) and Ph.D. (1990) degrees in Geology from the University of Madrid (UCM), Spain. He joined the University of Vigo, Spain (1998–2000) and the University of Burgos, Spain (2000 – present) as an Associate Professor in Applied Geophysics. He worked for several years in consulting companies, where he was involved in projects related to hydrogeology, mining and the environment. At present, he is a geophysics senior consultant in Spain.
Said Bedair is a researcher at the National Water Research Center, Cairo, Egypt. He specializes in applied geophysics, particularly in geoelectric surveying and data interpretation.
