Chenguo Cai received his MS (2004) in geophysical detection and information technology with emphasis in geophysics from the China University of Geosciences (CUG). He is a postgraduate student at CUG. His main research interests include seismic impedance inversion, seismic modeling in visco-elastic media, and elastic wave detection of engineering quality.

Chao Chen received his PhD (2000) in mathematical geology from the China University of Geosciences (CUG). From 1982 to 2004 he worked at CUG as an assistant and associate professor and as a professor at CUG since 2004. His research interests include near-surface geophysics, potential-field methods, and geophysical data inversion.

Shixue Dong graduated from Chang-chun College of Geology in 1969. He is currently a full professor in the College of Geo-Exploration Science and Technology of Jilin University. His main research interests include seismic shot technology, seismic data acquisition, especially in lithological geophone system development and geophone coupling. He has published many papers on these subjects.

Minghai Feng received his B.E (1982) in geology with emphasis in Railway Engineering Geology from Southwest Jiaotong University. He is a Senior Engineer at the China Railway Economic Project Institute. His working experiences include working as chief geologist for several famous China railways including Jingjiu Railway, Tibet Railway and Yiwan Railway. His main research interests include railway engineering geology, investigation of deep seated tunnels using geophysical tools, karst geology and its effect on railway construction. He is a member of GSC and CRS.

Hanming Gu received his PhD (2000) in geophysical detection and information technology with emphasis in geophysics from the China University of Geosciences. He is a professor at the China University of Geosciences. His main research interests include AVO petrophysical inversion, seismic imaging and modeling in reservoir geophysics, shallow seismic reflection, and elastic wave CT in engineering geophysics.
