Author Biographies

Barry Allred is an Agricultural Engineer with the USDA/ARS—Soil Drainage Research Unit. He attended Northern Illinois University, Western Michigan University, and Oklahoma State University and has B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology and a Ph.D. in biosystems engineering. His research interests include application of geophysical methods to agriculture, agricultural water recycling, and laboratory soil hydraulic/mechanical properties testing.

Neil Anderson received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Manitoba, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Calgary. He is currently Professor of Geophysics at the University of Missouri-Rolla and specializes in engineering and environmental geophysics. Current international projects include ongoing archeological work at Luxor, water resources investigations in southern Africa and potash mine studies in Russia. Much of his recent work in the USA has been focused on applications of geophysical technologies to highway-related problems.

Giovanni Cascante completed his Honors B.Sc. in Structural Engineering (1981), his M.Sc. in Earthquake Engineering (1984), and his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering (1996). He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo, Ontario. Before joining the University, he served as a Project Engineer in Trow Consulting Engineers Ltd., as a Research Assistant, and as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo.
